Which exam is more difficult to Crack SBI PO OR IBPS PO?

State Bank of India and Institute of Banking Personnel Selection are two examining bodies conducting Common Written Examination for various posts such as SBI PO, IBPS PO, SBI CLERK, IBPS CLERK, SBI SO and IBPS SO. The most desired post by aspirants of bank jobs are SBI PO and IBPS PO, as these are officer level posts.
If you are preparing for the exams without knowing the procedure of becoming Probationary Officer at any of the nationalized banks under IBPS list or SBI Bank then it would be difficult for you to crack the exam. Let us discuss the procedure of both the exams and choose the easy one to grab the DREAM JOB.
In order to qualify the IBPS PO Recruitment Exam or SBI PO Recruitment Exam one needs to follow some tips these are:
  1. Check the Eligibility Criteria for Bank PO exam  before applying for it or start preparing for the exam.
  2. Update yourself with the latest Bank PO exam pattern and Bank PO Selection process.
Although the procedure for the Probationary Officer Exam of both IBPS and SBI bank are almost same yet there are some differences.
The distinction between SBI PO and IBPS PO Exam Patterns are as follows:
  1. Reasoning section of IBPS P.O. Exam is not tough as compared to SBI P.O. Exam.
  2. Quantitative Aptitudetest of IBPS P.O. Exam is based on Arithmetic where as SBI is mostly based on Data Analysis & Interpretation with emphasis on Analysis and Interpretation of data (Tables, Charts, Graphs, Reports etc.), using applications of the Arithmetical principles of Averages, Ratios, Proportions, Percentages etc.
  3. In IBPS PO Exam there are separate sections for General Awareness and Computer knowledge but in SBI P.O. Exam, the questions based on these topics are asked in a single section only.
  4. SBI P.O ( Mains) has Descriptive Test of one hour duration of 50 marks where a Test of English Language with questions on Letter Writing & Essay are given to examine the writing ability of the candidate where as IBPS PO does not have any descriptive test.
  5. Short listed candidates of SBI PO have to undergo one more session after SBI PO (Mains) which is called Group Discussion before the final interview where as IBPS PO Exam just shortlists the candidates for final interview.
After comparing the two exams, it is observed that IBPS PO exam is easy to crack as it is not having any descriptive exam to follow after Mains exam. Therefore, one should try for IBPS PO if one is trying for the first time for any competitive job exam. SBI being one of the biggest bank and most of the aspirants want to apply for it but it is a hard nut to crack. If you want to try your hands in SBI PO Exam you have to prepare yourself thoroughly.

Choice lies in your mind and aspirations.

All the best!!!
