How to prepare to score well in Reasoning Section of SBI PO 2018 Examination
Every year State Bank of India holds various exams for a variety of posts lying vacant in its branches all over India. According to the SBI PO Exam Pattern 2018, the SBI PO Prelims Exam will be comprised of multiple choice questions. It will carry total of 100 marks. There will be three sections and the time allotted will be one hour.
SBI PO notifications are expected in the month of February 2018 and the examination of first phase i.e. prelims will be held in the month of June 2018. The minimum age limit is 21 to 30 years. The candidates must be a graduate in any discipline from a recognized university.
It is an officer level examination therefore it needs a thorough and diligent exam preparation under the supervision of well qualified educationists. Out of the three sections SBI PO Prelims exam, reasoning ability is scoring as it does not have any formula or rules to be learned. This section examines the aptitude of solving the puzzles and the analytical abilities. One can achieve mastery in this section by doing regular practice which will enhance the analytical abilities.
Generally reasoning questions are tricky and can only be accurately solved if given a lot of practice before the exam. In the recent question papers it has been observed that most of the questions are puzzle based. These can be easily solved if you choose the easy one first. Questions can be based on Circular Arrangement, Linear arrangement, floor based puzzle, tabular puzzle with two or three or even four variables, puzzles combined with blood relation or Direction sense, Square/Rectangle sitting arrangement. Do not stick to one type of question for a longer duration as you will run short of time.
One can enhance the abilities to solve reasoning questions by focusing more on topics like syllogism, blood relation questions, coding-decoding, input-output, inequalities, direction test, alpha numeric series and Logical reasoning. These topics are also asked on regular basis with reasonable weight age. Keep yourself updated with the latest pattern by solving latest question papers. Always prepare your mind with the view to solve new type of puzzle with calm and quiet mind.
